About the role and why it’s unique:
- As a Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to take our infrastructure to the next level by improving the scalability and reliability of our backend systems
- Maintain availability, support, and growth of our AWS infrastructure by writing, reviewing, and maintaining code primarily in Terraform and Helm
- Assist the monitoring and operation of our environments hosted in AWS
- Work closely with our development teams (Fantasy, Sportsbook, Data) in managing, scaling, and triaging issues related to infrastructure
- Tweak application and infrastructure scaling to ensure a quality user experience
- Participate in incident response procedures and conduct incident postmortems
- Participate in on-call rotations in which you will remediate issues and prevent them from reoccurring
Who you are:
- 3+ years of cloud engineering experience
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure platforms (specifically AWS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages (Python, Ruby, Bash)
- Familiar with IaC and IC tools such as Terraform and Github Actions
- Experience using logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog
- Experience with participating in an on-call rotation for production cloud infrastructure
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills while working with engineers, product, and support
- Open to feedback and eager to collaborate with other developers to accomplish tasks at hand

Our targeted compensation rate for this position is between $120,000 and $135,000, depending on experience, plus equity. Think your skills are exceptional and warrant higher pay? Apply anyway! If we agree, we're willing to negotiate.
