Role Summary:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at NUVIEW, you will be a driving force in deploying,
hardening, and optimizing growing cloud infrastructure solutions, and assisting in the
architecture of new solutions. Specializing in Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS or
Azure, you will collaborate with diverse teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure,
and high-performance cloud environments. Your role will involve implementing automation
scripts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, configuration management best-practices, and proactively monitoring and optimizing cloud systems.
Responsibilities
● Monitoring and Optimization:
○ Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, identify trends, and
optimize resource utilization.
○ Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency
of cloud-based systems.
● Cloud Architecture Design:
○ Assist in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud
architectures in Kubernetes and AWS or Azure, based on business requirements.
● Security and Compliance:
○ Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud systems and data.
○ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, addressing security
vulnerabilities promptly.
● Automation and Scripting:
○ Implement and maintain Kubernetes manifests necessary for hosting platform
services.
○ Implement and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning,
configuration, and maintenance.
○ Streamline repetitive tasks through scripting to improve operational efficiency.
● Collaboration and Documentation:
○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
and translate them into cloud solutions.
○ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture,
configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications
● Required:
○ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
○ Proven experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
○ Proficiency in Kubernetes and AWS.
○ Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. Terraform, GitOps, Python, etc.).
○ Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
● Desirable:
○ CompTIA Security+ certification or higher.
○ Experience with Honeycomb, OpenTelementry, Prometheus, and/or AWS
CloudWatch.
○ Experience in database monitoring and optimization.
○ Experience with SOC2, ISO and/or CMMC certifications.
