We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

About the Role

The Clinical Quality Associate (CQA) will play a critical role in supporting the Clinical Quality team and ensuring a seamless experience for our provider network. This clinician will serve as the primary point of contact for managing our clinical support inbox, responding to inquiries from internal teams, providers, and occasionally patients. These questions often involve nuanced clinical topics—including care delivery, documentation standards, CPT coding in outpatient settings, licensing regulations, and ethical considerations across behavioral health disciplines.

In a large, fast-paced organization like Rula, we rely on licensed clinicians who are efficient, self-directed, and clinically sharp. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable making independent decisions, and able to quickly interpret and apply clinical knowledge to complex scenarios. You’ll be expected to take ownership of inbox workflows, maintain timely responses, and serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for clinical quality issues across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, social work, or another closely related field.

  • Active therapy license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, etc.) or a previously active license, with recent experience in clinical therapy/counseling, associates licenses will be considered. All state licenses accepted.

  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills with an ability to solve problems independently and establish cross functional working relationships.

  • Working knowledge of clinical best practice, evidence based practice, measurement informed care, CPT codes, documentation requirements, and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • 1+ years experience at a high-growth start-up.

  • Experience managing ticketing systems and customer support.

  • Experience as a therapist in private practice.

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment (US-based only): Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States
