Better Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to join our team to help disrupt the chronic care industry. This role will play a pivotal role in the successful deployment of our comprehensive care programs for patients with chronic conditions.
The Clinical Operations Manager is a critical position that will serve as helping to shape and execute on the clinical strategic and operational vision for our growing Care Operations at Better Health’s. The preferred applicant for this role must have a passion for innovating within healthcare, a curiosity to dig deep, clinical experience, and operational execution in a startup environment. Our Care Programs today are sub-clinical programs focused on condition education and peer support services. We are proud of our Peer Support program, where we pair trained coaches with our DME members who live with the same chronic conditions to provide support and education to help our members thrive and improve their condition management.

Better Health is a new type of medical provider, helping people with chronic conditions live and age at home. How? By bundling peer support, education, and home delivery of medical supplies in an end-to-end digital care solution. We help our members discover and purchase the best medical equipment and supplies to address their underlying chronic conditions and receive the education and support they need to thrive at home.
Since our inception in November 2019, Better Health has gained Medicare licenses in 46 states, 16 Medicaid licenses, and preferred national provider contracts with leading payers, including Oscar Health Humana, and Cigna. Responsibilities:
- Clinical strategy: Craft and execute on the strategy, vision, and expansion of our clinical and care programs as we mature our existing services and expand into new categories.
- Manage clinical quality: Hire, train, and ensure ongoing performance quality with our clinician team and sub-clinical peer support network.
- Data analysis and presentation: Roll up your sleeves to track data and create workflows and automations, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders to understand the impacts of our care programs
Qualifications
- Possess a current US clinical licensure (e.g. RN, NP, PA, APP) with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Deep healthcare expertise across providers, patients, and payers
- 4+ years experience building care and/or clinical programs with responsibility to drive strategy/operations
- Prior experience working in a healthcare startup
- 2+ years experience in managing staff members
- Excellent at prioritizing multiple projects and the ability to direct a team on where to focus
- Strong technical aptitude to build reporting and analyze data, while working in depth with various software tools across an ecosystem of technologies
