POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Genomic Specialist will be responsible for increasing the number of Hereditary Cancer test samples sent to Natera in his/her territory. The Clinical Genomic Specialist will focus on the Genetic Counselor call point within Cancer Centers. The individual will work closely with peers within the oncology team on pulling through units across the system from specialties including Oncology and Surgical Oncology. Success is accomplished by the system selecting Natera as their lab of choice and then working within the system to pull through the units. The Clinical Genomic Specialist will play a key role in working with the system to secure blood draw agreements and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) integration to maximize success. Natera requires successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Vaccine verification will be required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Increase revenue and drive market development through direct sales to individual Genetic Counselors, Oncologists, and Surgical Oncology.
Sales efforts include effective prospecting, cultivating and maintaining key relationships.
Create and implement a strategic business plan to grow revenue quickly in your geography.
Sales efforts will focus on currently marketed products and new product launches.
Play a critical role in the success of the organization.
Utilize and access PHI via various technologies (paper and electronic) to perform the job duties.
Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree is required. Nursing or related healthcare fields are preferred.
Minimum three years’ physician sales experience in diagnostic laboratory business (preferably in a genetics laboratory).
Background in medical or biological sciences (clinical diagnostics in oncology preferred).
Market knowledge and experience selling to OB/GYN, MFM or Oncologist strongly preferred.
Proven track record of success in establishing new markets and new products and increasing revenue quickly.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Gmail; SalesForce.com.

Knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agents is a bonus.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, Gmail, Salesforce.com.
Possess a positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and change.
