Role Overview

As Chief People Officer (CPO) at Camunda, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll lead all aspects of our People strategy, overseeing a world-class team of professionals and play a crucial role in shaping our organization's future. This position is pivotal in enabling our 2024 vision of growing to over 500 Camundis while maintaining our unique company culture and adhering to our FAITH values.

What you'll be doing:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic People frameworks which enable our global company strategy, focusing on scalability and agility through organizational design in a remote environment
  • Partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team and CEO to foster a high performance culture throughout Camunda

Team Management

  • Oversee and develop teams across Talent Acquisition, People Business Partnering, People Operations & People Technology, and Total Rewards. 
  • Identify and measure organizational KPIs and OKRs for the People Team

Talent Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, including programs for learning, development, career paths, and promoting equity & belonging at Camunda

Organizational Development

  • Lead organizational design initiatives, ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices, and collaborate with the CEO to maintain and evolve Camunda's unique company culture.

Business Partnership

  • Advise the executive team on strategic people-related matters, contribute to business planning from a people perspective, and foster a culture of innovation and long-term thinking

 

What You’ll Bring: 

Experience

  • Demonstrated track record of success leading people teams at the VP level or above
  • Proven experience building and optimizing processes, systems, and structures in a high-growth company (ideally growing from less than 500 to more than 1,000 employees)
  • Strong background in talent management, performance management, and organizational development
  • Experience in Series A-E companies; post-IPO experience will be considered, but clear understanding of growing startups is vital. Familiarity with the IPO process is nice to have. 
  • Deep knowledge of documentation and how this enables a global async environment. 
  • Experience with local employment laws and regulations, particularly for the EMEA (we have entities in UK and Germany) and the North America (entity in the US)

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams
  • Strong business acumen, especially in relation to Series A-E companies
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing, with a focus on asynchronous communication
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing HR technologies and systems
  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment and champion remote work best practices
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation:

Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence. 

The annual Total Cash minimum for an Chief People Officer in our entities is as follows: 

  • United States: $280,000 to $350,000 USD
  • EMEA/APAC: €240,000 to €300,000 EUR

If you are outside one of these countries, you would be employed by our Preferred Employer Organization (PEO), Remote.
