About the role:
As the Chief Architect at Unbounce, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our organization. You will lead a team of skilled architects and engineers to design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions that drive our product vision and meet the evolving needs of our customers. This role reports directly to the CTO.
What you'll be doing:
- Technical Vision: Develop and drive Unbounce’s overall architectural vision, aligning it with our business objectives, product requirements and market trends
- Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure software architectures for our suite of SaaS products
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards
- Platform Evolution: Continuously evaluate and evolve our technology stack to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Research and Development: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver customer value
A little bit about you:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in software development, with a focus on architecture design and leadership roles
- Extensive knowledge of SaaS architecture principles, microservices, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern software development practices
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile development environment, with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering value to customers
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, think strategically, and solve complex technical challenges

- $179,200 - $250,000
