In this role, you will:

  • Expand business value support to our core and mid-market teams
  • Align customer and internal stakeholders on the main sources of value, quantify value potential with Samsara, prove value through trials, and present business cases to customer executives and senior internal stakeholders
  • Set vision, build, and drive adoption of value tools to support both Business Value engagements and broader pre and post-sale customer teams, including account executives, solution engineers, and customer service managers
  • Lead Business Value initiatives to drive operational excellence, lift engagement quality, and embed value throughout the broader organization
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in value engineering/business value, financial analysis, or management consulting
  • Experience building and launching scalable tools while managing requirements gathering, scoping, building, iterating through user feedback, and driving adoption
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling, including advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills with experience with macros, VBA, SQL, and Python
  • Experience building, managing, and influencing organizational-level initiatives and driving impact/results through mechanisms/processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally, including with sales, marketing, product, operations, and enablement
  • Proven ability to build deep and empathetic working relationships with customers/clients and internal teams
  • Self-starter who enjoys owning projects and thrives in an unstructured, change-heavy environment
  • Strong quantitative, communication, and presentation skills

An ideal candidate also has:
