Position Summary – Responsible for management and operations, systems/services, and networks in support of the Azure/0365 and Infrastructure services in a hybrid environment. Support will primarily be from a remote standpoint; however, occasional travel will be required.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for providing the day-to-day support and management of Azure cloud services and Iaas/Paas environments:
- Responsible for providing the day-to-day support and management of MS365 apps, Exchange, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for business and Teams infrastructure.
- Working with other service groups in the support of MS365 device management and compliance, with the implementation of modern device services.
- Management of access and authentication, planning and securing access and configuring application access. Configuration of SSO, publication of enterprise applications.
- Support and management of identified on-prem technologies and infrastructure services to support hybrid operations.
- Responsible for patch management within the supported environments and the ability to cross-train.
- Responsible for capacity planning and continual assessments for process improvement to ensure that processes are well-documented, sustainable, and scalable.
- Maintaining and improving the functionality of automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching and deployment.
- Work closely with security operations to maintain proper security posture. Focus on security requirements when designing a solution.
- Manage IAM and account management processes to support cloud solutions.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Certified or related work experience
- Microsoft 0365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator or related work experience
- Work Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with managing an Azure infrastructure for a corporate environment. Global support experience preferred.
- Azure experience required: VM/VDI, creating and configuring resource groups, application deployment experience, cost management, and continuous focus on improving the environment.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with M365 migrations and management a plus.
- 1+ year of experience managing the backend on-premise environment.
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Azure and M365 services.
- Solid understanding of deploying M365 apps: Exchange, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for business and Teams infrastructure
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in order to deliver based on deadlines.
- Experience serving as a liaison between engineering and helpdesk in order to aid in automating critical business processes.
- Strong hands-on experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud, specifically Azure.
- Assist management of reporting on cloud licensing and resource utilization to preserve costs a plus.
