The Associate UI/UX Designer will play a critical role in supporting the design and execution of multiple features and functions within our mobile application. This position involves leading design efforts for specific app features with minimal guidance while ensuring adherence to usability standards, design trends, and established guidelines. The designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create user-focused solutions and enhance the app's functionality and aesthetics.

Responsibilities: 

*Support design execution of multiple features and functions in the app, and may lead design efforts for specific features and functions with minimal guidance. 
*Use understanding of design trends, widely used patterns and processes in UX/UI to ensure design deliverables align with known usability standards and guidelines.
*Execute designs that adhere to established design systems, and update design systems as directed by the Design team. Make recommendations as needed to update/improve systems.
*Effectively communicate UX/UI strategy deliverables to audiences ranging from development/QA staff to Department leadership.
*Prioritize app-related initiatives to support new and sustaining program directions.
*Support Design team as the voice of the consumer and relevant personas in the agile development process, working daily with software engineers and developers to support strategic and tactical decisions about product functionality.
*Collaborate with product and leadership teams across the Business to ensure positive and accurate representation of all products in the app.
*Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mock-ups of varying fidelity to visualize concepts. Support review of deliverables with key stakeholders, as needed, for approval. 
*Support usability testing efforts as needed, including conducting tests and/or analyzing feedback. May utilize findings to propose solutions for future iterations.

Requirements:

*Advanced knowledge in UX concepts and design in mobile applications.
*Advanced knowledge and experience in creating UI mock ups and UX user flows
*Advanced knowledge of UX design tools, especially Figma
*Advanced knowledge and experience building functional mock-ups.
*Solid knowledge of cross-platform mobile apps (iOS and Android).
*Solid knowledge of current design trends and methodologies
*Solid knowledge of communication skills—you can communicate your design and vision to any size audience through written word, speech, and imagery, and adapt to various situations when dealing with feedback.
*Basic knowledge of the aspects and process of agile software development and testing.
*Basic knowledge of the product line and other product offerings from Hunter Douglas.
*Ability to organize, execute, and analyze direct and indirect usability testing sessions.
*Ability to multitask, and prioritize tasks and assignments
