Overview
The Hosting Operations team is seeking an initiative-taking individual to follow and enhance standard practices/procedures at Altera. This individual will work on operational activities through incidents & requests and will eventually grow more into Project/Development areas of server monitoring. Individual will work closely with the Business Unit leaders, Altera internal IT, partners, and vendors.
This is a remote role in the US. If you are outside of the Eastern Time Zone, you will be asked to work the EST work hours.
Responsibilities
This resource is expected to work on configuration management service based on prioritized. Specific responsibilities include:
- ITIL foundation knowledge. (Knowledge on Event Management, Incident Management, MI’s, System Outages and how ITIL is applied in the process of Incident Management)
- Understanding Windows Event Logs.
- Analytics Skills, system issue troubleshooting, ability with understanding error logs, investigate issue to get system up and running with maintaining maximum system up-time.
- Linux/Windows/Network administration experience.
- Problem Management & Project Management understanding.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring tools
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience in Windows server infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Data Center operations and vendor handling.
- Knowledge of monitoring and proactive management systems/environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Knowledge/Experience on office applications, Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, written and oral communication skills.
Travel Requirements:
- May require minimum travel for business needs.
Working Arrangements:
- Work is performed in a remote environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
