Profile Overview
As a part of the saas.group M&A Team, you will be working closely with the M&A colleagues, senior management of saas.group and its portfolio brands and saas.group employees, to provide support across all areas of portfolio management and the acquisition of new brands. You will report to saas.group Head of M&A.
Your Responsibilities
This is a multi-faceted role that covers both the existing portfolio operations while assisting the M&A team in acquiring new brands. There are [three] areas of responsibility
(1) Post-Merger Integration (60 - 80%)
- Lead the end-to-end integration process for newly acquired brands, ensuring alignment with pre-agreed integration plans and objectives.
- Collaborate effectively across the matrix organization to drive key integration outcomes and mitigate any obstacles encountered during the integration phase.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management, proactively identifying integration challenges and implementing solutions to ensure seamless transitions.
- Oversee post-closing activities, including the analysis and delivery of closing statements, calculation of earnouts, and fulfillment of all post-closing obligations.
- Facilitate onboarding workshops for new portfolio brands in overseas locations as needed, coordinating logistics and ensuring successful integration into the saas.group ecosystem.
(2) Portfolio operations (15 - 20%)
- Coordinate and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews for portfolio brands, ensuring comprehensive analysis of performance metrics and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct ongoing benchmarking and performance-tracking activities to evaluate the effectiveness of portfolio brands and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects identified by portfolio brands and saas.group, leveraging analytical skills and industry knowledge to drive operational excellence and support strategic initiatives.
(3) M&A due diligence and execution (0 - 10%)
- Contribute to early-stage financial and commercial analysis of potential acquisition opportunities, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in or lead financial due diligence efforts for new opportunities, conducting thorough assessments of financial performance and risks.
- Identify and document post-closing processes to streamline integration efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of integration plans.
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in a business-related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in business principles and practices.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 10 accountancy firm, an investment bank or similar, specializing in financial due diligence or corporate finance advisory, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
- Proficient understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and extract meaningful insights.
- Basic experience in project and stakeholder management, with a preference for familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and proactively in a remote environment, exhibiting self-motivation and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
