The importance of hiring an Assistant Media Buyer
As Carewell enters its next phase of growth striving to be a ‘one stop shop’ for all caregiving needs, we are seeking an Assistant Media Buyer to support the Director of TV Media in the planning, execution, and optimization of our television media campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for TV media and advertising, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus on working with TV stations to ensure all TV buys are executed accurately, validating billing, and working on the CORE TV software buying platform.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the development and implementation of TV media plans and strategies.
- Work closely with TV stations to ensure accurate execution of all TV buys.
- Validate and reconcile billing with media vendors to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze TV campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Maintain accurate records of TV media purchases, contracts, and invoices.
- Utilize the CORE TV software buying platform to manage and optimize TV media buys.
- Prepare and analyze data using Microsoft Excel to support media buying decisions and campaign analysis.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new media opportunities, and competitive activity.
- Support in managing budgets and optimizing TV media spend to maximize ROI.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and reporting is essential.
- Familiarity with TV media buying software and tools, especially CORE TV, is a plus.
- Related college coursework and/or internship experience in media buying or advertising is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Extremely high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
