POSITION DETAILS
Technical Services Analysts are an integral function within StarCompliance and work directly with Client Services, Professional Services, Development, Relationship Management and Sales. Technical knowledge is paramount for this position alongside critical thinking and an ability to methodically assess and resolve issues which may not have been encountered previously. Successful candidates will need to be passionate about the StarCompliance brand identity and understand the solutions that the company provides.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Operations - 40%
Database administration of SQL Server Production and UAT instancesExperience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019Database authentication modes, creation of users, configuring permissions and assigning roles to usersTransact-SQL – Strong understanding of views, stored procedures and scalar / table functionsExperience in creating SQL agent jobs, alerts, scheduling DTS and SSIS PackagesIndexing, statistics and performance tuningExperience in using Performance Monitor, Microsoft SQL Profiler and optimizing queries, tracing long running queries and identifying/resolving deadlocks
Technical Services - 60%
Provide 2nd level major and minor incident resolution supportDemonstrate critical thinking to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesCoordinate, execute and verify client application upgrades (outside of US and UK core hours as required)Writing and modifying custom reports and data exports using T-SQL skillsDeployment of customer application specific patchesHandle escalations around receiving daily and intraday file feedsCategorization / reporting of incidents to an agreed scale of impact/severity/priorityDeliver agreed SLAs for uptime for serversBeing pro-active on resolving operational alertsStrong understanding of SAML to assist clients with single sign-on authentication setup and testingTest files transmissions and importing into applicationInvestigating application server issues including performanceAble to investigate and implement automation of production service deliverySupport business analysts on software implementation projects, from sales demo and proof of concept through to UAT and production systems

Experience in a similar technical roleExperience implementing and supporting multi-tier web applications on a Microsoft technology platform (SQL Server and IIS)Exceptional strong time management skills toward managing priorities effectivelyStrong critical thinking, attention to detail, methodical and organized approachStrong analytical skillsAbility to develop working relationships with offshore team membersGood written and verbal communication skillsFinancial services experience beneficial
