Apartment List is looking to hire an Account Executive (AE) reporting to the Sr. Manager, Acquisition. This role will be responsible for a territory-based book and will be responsible for sourcing new business with property management companies that do not list with us. This is a "hunter" role, meaning the majority of the prospecting will be done by the AE. It will be their responsibility to hit target quota, as well as work with cross functional teams to ensure a successful long-term partnership.
Here is what you'll do as part of the team:
- Generate, build and grow relationships between Apartment List and rental properties
- You will work with marketing directors and regional property managers remotely within an assigned territory, becoming their marketing expert by building personal relationships and consistently and competitively winning business
- Build out demand generation campaigns to support the development and growth of the team
- Consistently achieve your sales performance targets (Quota)
- Deliver consistent sales activity and prospecting, representing the Apartment List way
- While you’ll spend most of your time finding and securing new partnerships for the team, you’ll also be in close contact with your manager and cross functional teams
- Maintain proper pipeline management, sales reporting, and clean data through Salesforce and other sales tools
- Assist with account implementation and manage account performance for short initial period following the sale
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:
- You have 3+ years of outside or remote (inside) sales experience
- You are familiar with the Multifamily industry and can build additional relationships within those circles
- You have proven success in sales, hitting and exceeding your goals
- You are detail-oriented, competitive, have a “can-do” attitude and consistently take the initiative to make things better for your clients and your team
- Experience with Salesforce and Salesloft a plus, and the ability to learn our proprietary tools and technologies
- Must have a systematic sales approach being able to run a full sale playbook including prospecting, pitching, follow up, and closing
Here's the Pay Range:
- In a Zone 1 location, the compensation range is $95,000 - $120,000 OTE (base salary range: $47,000 - $60,000) + equity.
- In a Zone 2 location, the compensation range is $88,000 - $110,000 OTE (base salary range: $44,000 - $55,000) + equity.
- In a Zone 3 location, the compensation range is $80,000 - $100,000 OTE (base salary range: $40,000 - $50,000) + equity.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
