We need an English-fluent Senior Kafka developer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage Kafka-based data pipelines.
- Configure, deploy and maintain Kafka clusters.
- Implement security measures to protect Kafka clusters and data streams.
- Optimize Kafka configurations for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and ensure delivery within deadlines.
- Provide expert-level suggestions and troubleshooting to improve system performance.
- Assist in integrating Kafka into new or existing systems, ensuring seamless and scalable performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance on Kafka best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields.
- 5+ years of proven experience with Kafka, including architecture, deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with other big data technologies is a plus.
- Experience working with Java.
- Knowledge of TypeScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English (C1+ level), clearly articulating technical concepts.
- Availability to work during Pacific Standard Time business hours (10 AM - 6 PM PST).
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $3,000 - $4,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
