570 - Mechanical Engineer

We need an English-fluent Mechanical Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the refinement and documentation of a wide range of products for transportation (electric and hybrid), energy storage systems (batteries and ultracapacitors), structural systems, enclosures, wiring layouts, tooling for molds (composites and plastics) and a variety of other new products.
• The position effectively refines 3D CAD designs from direction from the engineering staff.
• Independently create fabrication, assembly, or installation documentation in the form of 2D CAD drawings or formal instructions.
• Responsibilities require the application of mechanical experience and knowledge of fabrication principles.

Requirements:

• CAD – Part design: including standard and advanced modeling techniques.
• CAD – Assembly creation expertise: including mating, 3D articulation, and organization.
• CAD – Drawing creation: including tolerances with GD&T, and complex fabrication/assembly instruction.
• CAD – Harness/Hose routing 3D layout design.
• CAD – Harness/Hose 2D flat drawing creation (nailboard).
• Familiarity with sheet metal bending, metal welding, and typical shop tools for effective drawing creation.
• Independent problem-solving skills.
