Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer (Systems Engineer) that will be responsible for various build and maintenance tasks primarily within Azure and some AWS.
They may be assigned tasks to build specific resources related to specific projects. This engineer might also review the existing cloud resources for cleanup and cost saving opportunities. They will also be assigned automation related work including building automation infrastructure, automating specific administration tasks and creating automations to be used by our customers. We are also moving to an IaC model using TerraForm.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
- 1+ years building, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure resources in Azure
- Experience with cost saving measures in the cloud
- Worked with Azure Landing Zone architecture
- Understanding of Azure resource tagging and enforcement
- Scripting experience – Python, PowerShell, etc.
- GitHub, CI/CD tool experience
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, GitHub Actions and ServiceNow
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) tools such as TerraForm
- Working knowledge of YAML
- Ability to work independently
Desired Skills/Experience
- Experience with Agile methodology and Jira is a plus
- Experience with AKS is a plus
Additional Information
- 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
